Group Reformer classes are perfect for students with experience on the Reformer and familiarity with the basic Pilates repertoire. A minimum of 3 Private sessions are required prior to joining a group Reformer class. During a group class, a certified Pilates instructor will lead students through a safe, challenging, and level-appropriate series designed to strengthen and condition the entire body.
Group Reformer classes are limited to 5 participants and require advanced sign-up online.
Class Descriptions
REFORMER – All Levels
Our All Levels Reformer class is designed for clients who have experience with Pilates and are aware of their own physical strengths and limitations. The instructor will focus on exercises that promote core strength and control, as well as exercises that promote spinal articulation, flexibility and mind/body connection. The instructor may offer modifications or variations to best meet the needs of each individual in class.
REFORMER – THERAPEUTIC
Therapeutic classes will focus on exercises that promote lumbo-pelvic stability, joint mobility as appropriate, and symmetry in the body. An emphasis on the mind/body connection is included throughout class. Therapeutic classes are great for all levels and can be especially beneficial to new clients, clients with previous injuries/physical limitations, and clients who would like to work more slowly on their pilates technique.
REFORMER – ATHLETIC
The Athletic Reformer class is designed for clients who have been attending our Pilates Reformer classes regularly, have increased their strength, control and body-awareness, and are ready for more challenge. The class offers a faster pace and sequencing, while teaching full-body exercises that promote balance, control, and core strength. It is a great fit for clients who are injury-free and ready to work up a sweat!
TOWER
Combining essential Mat work with the benefits of the Pilates Reformer Tower equipment, this class is appropriate for students who are familiar with Pilates and do not have any physical limitations. Through a system of springs and bars, the equipment supports the body to ensure proper stabilization and positioning, while providing added resistance for strengthening, toning and lengthening muscles.
