Welcome New Students!
Welcome to Thrive Pilates! We strive to create a safe, inviting environment for you in our studio.
As a new client to our studio, you will start with some private sessions so that you can work one-on-one with an instructor to identify your needs and learn the basics. Our Introductory Private 5-Package for new students is a good place to begin. Exact amount of private sessions needed before group classes will be determined by you and your instructor. We require private sessions for your safety and education.
We are currently working off a waitlist for new clients. To be added to the waitlist, please reach out to pilates-desk@thrivepilates.com. We recommend touching base with us before purchasing the 5-pack.

Because Pilates is a unique method of exercise, we’ll start with an evaluation of the way you move and teach you the basic principles and techniques of the method.
During your first session, we’ll discuss your needs as well as goals. We evaluate your posture, alignment, and muscular development, and introduce new breathing and movement techniques.
You will likely spend some time lying down on a mat or a table while we work with concepts of muscle engagement and postural positioning. We will also introduce you to the Pilates equipment—unique apparatus with springs and pulleys designed to assist your movement in a variety of ways.
Please note: As a courtesy to our instructors and clients on a waiting list for a session or class, we request you cancel or reschedule your session at least 24-hour in advance. Any appointment canceled less than 24 hours in advance will be charged 100% of the service booked.
Wear comfortable, stretchy clothes that allow you to bend and move. Wearing form-fitting clothing is suggested, as this makes it easier for your instructor to identify postural and alignment issues, and ensure proper form. However, your comfort is most important, so wear what feels best to you.
Pilates is practiced barefoot or with special grippy socks.
Please fill out our New Client forms (at the top of this page) and bring them to your first session. Arrive 5 minutes early, well hydrated and ready to move.
